• This is the sixth all-time meeting between the Cougars and the Salukis. SIUE holds a 2-1-2 lead in the series. SIU Carbondale won last season's meeting 2-1 in Carbondale. The meetings in 2022 and 2023 both resulted in 1-1 ties.
• SIUE has not allowed a goal in the second half in each of its last three contests.
• Freshman Kristen Keller recorded her first career action in the loss to Drake. She posted a season-high nine saves in the 2-0 loss.
• Amanda Dean scored her second goal of the season against Missouri State, joining Savannah DeFini for the team lead in scoring with four points.
• Of the 10 players who have scored a goal or an assist, six are freshmen - Dean, Alayna Hauser, Audrey Roberts, Anna Zichella, Zoe Bumiller and Claire Nieroda.
• Nieroda leads the team in shots with nine.
• DeFini's goals came in back-to-back contests against IU Indy and Chicago State.

• This is the 18th season for Head Coach Derek Burton, who took over the SIUE women's soccer program when it jumped to the Division I level before the 2008 season. Burton has led SIUE to five Ohio Valley Conference titles and five NCAA Tournament appearances (2014, 2016, 2020, 2021 and 2022).
