EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. –Sophomore
Tim Teixeira from baseball has received Prairie Farms Cougar of the Week Honors after his performance against Valparaiso March 13.
Teixeira threw his first career complete game and is now 1-3 on the season. He retired seven straight and 10 of 11 hitters through the fourth inning. He struck out eight hitters in the game and did not walk a batter.
The Prairie Farms Cougar of the Week Honors an SIUE student-athlete who demonstrated excellence in competition.
