• SIUE is 6-3 in Ohio Valley Conference play after sweeping Tennessee Tech on the road and Morehead State at home. Eastern Illinois defeated the Cougars in a three-game series this past weekend.

• SIUE Head Coach Ben Sorden is in his fourth season and holds an 94-100 overall record with a 47-36 mark in OVC play. Sorden and the Cougars recorded 32 wins last season, the most by the program since 2017.
