EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. — SIUE Athletics is proud to announce the 4th Annual Cougars Champions Classic Golf Outing, set to take place on Monday, July 20 at Sunset Hills Country Club. The premier summer event brings together alumni, supporters, corporate partners, and friends of the Cougars for a day of golf, camaraderie, and support of SIUE student-athletes.
WHAT IT SUPPORTS
Proceeds from the Cougars Champions Classic directly benefit SIUE Athletics Cougars Champions Fund, helping provide critical resources for more than 280 student-athletes across the department's programs. The event continues to grow each year, building momentum and impact through strong community engagement and generous support.
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION
Participants are encouraged to take advantage of an early bird reservation opportunity to secure their spot in this year's outing. With limited availability and increasing demand, early registration is strongly recommended to guarantee entry into one of SIUE Athletics' most anticipated events of the year.
NEW FORMAT – THREE PERSON SCRAMBLE
New for 2026, the tournament will feature an updated format designed to enhance pace of play, allow for continued growth of the event, and the overall experience as we continue to grow this event. The outing will shift from a traditional four-person scramble to a three-person scramble, with six golfers assigned per hole. This refreshed format aims to create a more engaging and social atmosphere while maintaining a competitive edge throughout the day.

Proceed from this outing support our 501(c)3 Cougars Champions Fund and all investments have tax deductible elements. Below outlines the updated pricing structure for 4th Annual Cougars Champions Classic:
- Individual Golfer = $275
- Three Person Team = $825
- Six Person Team = $1,650
- Three Person Team with Hole Sponsorship = $1,075
- Six Person Team with Hole Sponsorship = $1,900
- Hole Sponsorship = $500

WHAT THE DAY INCLUDES
The outing will include a full day of activities, highlighted by on-course contests, premium giveaways, food and beverage offerings, and opportunities to connect with SIUE athletes, coaches, staff, and fellow supporters.
