BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – SIUE student-athletes Harrison Alexander (men's basketball) and Chloe Koons (tennis) have been selected as the 2025-26 recipients of the Ohio Valley Conference Community Service Awards.
Alexander, a redshirt sophomore in 2025-26, volunteered at the Alton Mark Twain School, reading and interacting with the students. He also went to St. Louis Children's Hospital and spent time with patients there. Alexander has been an active member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council and will serve Vice President in the upcoming school year.
Koons, a junior in 2025-26, volunteered at the Edwardsville Touch-a-Truck event & the YMCA Mitch 'N' Friends event during the fall semester. She has also volunteered at Edwardsville Rotary Club events including the Annual Citrus Sale.
The Community Service Awards are based on activities that took place during the 2025-26 academic year and recognize outstanding student-athletes for the contributions they make away from the playing surface, both on campus and in the community.
