THE SERIES: SIUE holds a 3-2 edge in the series against the Jaguars. SIUE won each of the last two meetings in the series. This is the first appearance for the Jaguars at Korte Stadium since 2022.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Claire Nieroda was named the Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week after scoring one goal and three assists last week. She scored on a penalty kick and then recorded the assists in all three of the other goals scored against Alabama A&M and Valparaiso.
MORE FIRSTS: Two more players recorded their first goal of the season Thursday in the 3-0 win over Austin Peay. Olivia Watt scored in the 40th minute while Tori Bockstadter scored in the 58th minute against the Governors.
BIG WIN FOR THE COUGARS: The 3-0 win over Austin Peay was the biggest home win for SIUE since the 2024 season when the Cougars bested Chicago State 6-1.
