BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – SIUE women's soccer standouts Tori Bockstadter and Sarah Bozeman earned weekly honors from the Ohio Valley Conference Tuesday.
Bockstadter, a junior from O'Fallon, Missouri, was named the OVC Offensive Player of the Week. Bozeman, a senior from O'Fallon, Missouri, was selected as the OVC Goalkeeper of the Week.
SIUE finished the week 1-0-1 with a 3-0 victory over Austin Peay and a 2-2 tie against IU Indy.
Bockstadter was effective with her shots, scoring on both of her two shots of the week. She scored the third of three goals in the win over Austin Peay. She also scored the first goal of the day in the 12th minute against IU Indy.
Bozeman recorded her first shutout of the season against Austin Peay. She collected six saves in both contests and now has 20 saves for the season.
The Cougars return to action Sunday in a 1 p.m. nonconference match at Drake.
