SIUE

Luke Young was named the Director of Marketing and Promotions for SIUE Athletics in July 2023.

Armed with a both a marketing and coaching background, Luke Young transitioned from a coaching role to one of an administrator on the athletics staff in Spring of 2022. Young's duties have expanded as the leader of SIUE's athletics marketing efforts.

Young’s duties include graphic design, promotion, social media management, community outreach and event and facility management. He works closely with individual programs to develop marketing plans including giveaway and ticketing promotions.

Young spent eight seasons as part of the SIUE volleyball staff and excelled in previous stints as the Head Volleyball coach at Washington University in St. Louis. Previously, Young spent six seasons on the volleyball staff at Lindenwood, where he also served as Adjunct Instructor of Studio Art. In addition to his on-court duties, Young served his teams as social media manager and graphic designer on staff.

Young earned a bachelor’s of arts in visual communications from Graceland University and a master’s of fine arts from Northern Illinois.

Young and wife Lisa have two children, daughter Ellen Mae and son Atticus.
