Cougars Oust McKendree in Three

         Andrea Voss hammered down 17 kills and Heather Bonde chipped in nine as SIUE swept the visiting McKendree College Bearcats 30-28, 30-18, 30-14, in women's volleyball action Wednesday night at the Vadalabene Center.
         SIUE (8-1) has now won 15 consecutive games, which breaks the previous all-time school record of 14, which was set in 1997.
         After a sluggish first game, the SIUE offense found its rhythm and hit .414 in game two and .500 in the clinching game three. Voss managed only three errors and hit .538 on the night. Bonde had no errors on 17 attempts for a .529 performance.
         Allison Buss led the team with 12 digs with freshman libero Beth DeGreeff adding nine.
         Leading the offensive attack for McKendree (3-3) was Elizabeth Giles, who posted nine kills.
         The Cougars will carry their 15-game winning streak to Highland Hts., Ky. for the GLVC-GLIAC-WVIAC Crossover Tournament. SIUE plays its first of four matches Friday against West Virginia State. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m.
