Cougars Run Strong at Bradley

          The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Women's cross country team placed second at the Bradley Open.
          "Kelly Flounders (Home Glen) and Heather Hackel (Decatur) both ran really strong," said SIUE assistant cross country coach Eileen McAllister.
          The Cougars were led by Flounders, placing fourth individually with a time of 19 minutes, 12.95 seconds.
          Heather Hackel placed sixth with a time of 19:23.32, which put her on the list for 15th all-time fastest 5,000 Meter freshmen times at SIUE.
          McAllister said something the team needs to work on is bringing the times a little close from the top to bottom of the lineup.
          The Cougars get their chance at the next meet set for Friday at the Eastern Illinois University Panther Open.
