Cougars Dominate UMSL

         Kate Hofeldt led all hitters wit 13 kills as 20th-ranked Southern Illinois University Edwardsville overpowered Missouri-St. Louis 30-24, 30-10, 30-13 in college volleyball action .
         SIUE dominated play to win its eight consecutive match Friday. The Cougars improved to 14-2 overall and 7-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
         The Cougars held UMSL to 26 kills on 28 errors for a negative hitting percentage. SIUE's offense, meanwhile, blasted 48 kills led by Hofeldt. Kelsey Hubert followed with nine.
         SIUE also recorded 13 blocks against the Riverwomen.
         The Cougars continue action Saturday with a 1 p.m. match against Quincy at the Vadalabene Center.
