         EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. -- Southern Illinois University Edwardsville kept its homestand perfect and has now won all seven of its home games, including Saturday's four-game win over Kentucky Wesleyan.
         The Cougars, now 18-5 overall and 11-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, hold a three-game lead in the GLVC West Division. There are six matches left in the regular season, all against GLVC West opponents beginning with Missouri-Rolla at 7 p.m. Friday.
         SIUE, ranked No. 17 nationally in the AVCA poll, fell in game one 32-30 after starting non-regulars. SIUE Coach Todd Gober tweaked his lineup the rest of the way, using 12 different players for the team's fourth straight victory.
         Kate Hofeldt played in just two games but led the team in kills with 11. Ruth Shurts and Lisa Heitkamp followed with nine kills. Heitkamp also posted a career-high eight blocks.
         SIUE hit .226 as a team with 58 kills. Kentucky Wesleyan, now 4-18 overall and 0-13 in the GLVC, hit .087 and managed 35 kills.
