No. 17 Cougars Dominate UMR

         ROLLA, Mo. -- No. 17-ranked Southern Illinois University Edwardsville volleyball won its fifth straight match with a 30-16, 30-21, 30-19 victory at Missouri-Rolla.
         The Cougars had little trouble against the Mines. SIUE, which has already gained a spot in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament with five league matches remaining, improved its season record to 19-5 overall and 12-2 in the GLVC. Missouri-Rolla fell to 3-24 and 2-12 in the GLVC.
         SIUE next heads to Missouri-St. Louis to face the Tritons in a 3 p.m. match Saturday.
         Samantha Schulte led the Cougar attack with 10 kills on no attack errors. SIUE setter Mallory Clements spread around the offense as the Cougars recorded 48 kills in the three games.
         Emily Rahn finished with nine kills followed by Kelsey Hubert with eight and seven each from Kate Hofeldt and Clements.
         Leandra Pelae powered the attack for Missouri-Rolla with 15 kills.
