         RENSSELAER, Ind. -- The winning streak extended to six matches Saturday for the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's tennis team.
         SIUE defeated Lewis 9-0 to improve to 10-7 overall and 6-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Lewis fell to 1-11 and 1-7.
         The Cougars swept all of the doubles matches and then swept past the Flyers in the singles matches. Carli Connors won at No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-0 over Lewis' Erin Piechocinski. Ali Wulfers was victorious at No. 3 singles with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Jordan Lynde. SIUE's Sarah Rhein needed a tiebreaker win at No. 5 singles, winning 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 over Agata Wojciechowska.
         SIUE's Kelsey Laird went three sets with Clare Kessler at No. 4 singles. Laird won 6-1, 2-6, 10-7.
         The Cougars return home Tuesday for a GLVC match against Southern Indiana. Match time is 2 p.m. at the SIUE Tennis Courts.
