BELLEVILLE, Ill. - Wright State swept all nine matches Friday and collected a 7-0 victory over Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in women's college tennis at Kingspoint Tennis Club.

SIUE, 1-9, were unable to come up any wins in doubles. The closest was at No. 1 doubles as SIUE's Carli Connors and Maggie Boeckman dropped an 8-6 decision to Wright State's Kenisha Webb and Masha Peresetsky.

Ali Wulfers split the first two sets with Wright State's Amy Nini at No. 5 singles. Nini won the first set 6-1. Wulfers claimed the second set 6-2. Nini took the third-set tiebreaker 10-5.

Boeckman also went three sets at No. 2 singles against Peresetsky but had to retire after being down 3-1 in the third set.

The Cougars now begin five-match road trip for spring break. The first match is set for Sunday at Jacksonville State.
