COOKEVILLE, Tenn.- Junior Roland Prenzler paced the SIUE men's cross country team at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on Saturday. Prenzler finished 15th overall with a 25:48 time in the 8K event.
Eastern Illinois placed first in the event with 65 points, followed by UT Martin (67), Southern Indiana (82), Tennessee Tech (101), Little Rock (112), Southeast Missouri (144), Morehead State (159), SIUE (179), Lindenwood (224), and Tennessee State (321).
Rounding out the men in the 62nd annual OVC Cross Country Championships were Spencer Hielkema (23rd/26:14), Cameron Woodard (49th/27:05), Zach Walters (42nd/26:54), Blake Panagos (58th/27:24), Jackson Edwards (65th/27:50), and D'Andre Watson (81st/29:38).
"Our Men had their strongest pack all year," said Marcus Evans. "They worked very hard to move up as a unit. I really loved the fight they put up to support their teammates."
SIUE men's cross country is now idle until the NCAA Midwest Regionals on Friday, Nov. 11 in Columbia, Mo.
