PEORIA, Ill. – SIUE cross country ran its final meet before the Ohio Valley Conference Cross Country Championship on Friday afternoon at the 19th annual Bradley Pink Classic. The men finished 25th overall in the 8,000m while the women earned 30th in the 6,000m.
In the women's 6,000m white race, Olivia Wolf paced the Cougars with a 99th overall finish at 25:29.50. Freshman Alexis Kampwerth trailed behind Wolf at 107th, crossing the finish line at 25:56.40. Alexis Edgar (115th/26:25.80), Courtney Anthonies (119th/26:40.70), Chessy Nikonowicz (131st/27:41.30), and Megan Derrick (31:46.40) also competed in the race.
Senior Roland Prenzler led SIUE in the men's red 8,000m race with a 102nd overall finish. Spencer Hielkema followed at 105th, finishing the race at 25:44.70. Zach Walters (161st/26:23.40), Jackson Edwards (183rd/26:23.40), Tyler Guthrie (185th/26:46.00), Cameron Woodard (205th/27:33.90), and Blake Panagos (226th/28:46.10) also competed in the race.
Freshman Mia Loafman paced the women in the red 6,000m race, earning 155th overall at 23:17.20. Kaitlin Walker finished 175th at 23:31.90. Ella Thier placed 196th at 23:53.10 while Natalia Rodriguez took 214th at 24:26.10. Caroline Gwaltney (222nd/24:41.20), Alexis Fischer (228th/25:00.00), Ana Keller (235th/25:25.50), Gabrielle Horton (241st/26:03.40), and Riley Doyle (243rd/26:29.00) also ran in the red 6,000m race.
