BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - For the second straight week, SIUE women's tennis swept the Ohio Valley Conference weekly honors.

Jordan Schifano (Cedarburg, Wisconsin) was named the OVC Player of the Week after a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Valparaiso's Sydney Stone. Amelia Gorman (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) and Stefaniya Anikina (Karaganda, Kazakhstan) were named the OVC Doubles Team of the Week after besting Valpo's Stone and Mia Bertino.

The Cougars improved to 2-0 for the season after defeating Valpo 4-1 at the Edwardsville Y Meyer Center.

Next up for SIUE women's tennis is a Feb. 10 battle at home against Bradley.
