EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE men's and women's track and field continues the indoor portion of its schedule in Louisville, Kentucky at the PNC Bellarmine Classic on Friday, Feb. 2.
The Cougars will be joined by 23 schools including host Bellarmine, Belmont, Cumberland University, Eastern Kentucky, Evansville, IUPUI, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb, Louisville, Marshall, Miami (OH), Morehead State, Murray State, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, Southern Indiana, Tennessee State, Tennessee Martin, Vincennes, Western Illinois, Western Kentucky and Xavier.

SIUE track and field competed at the Butler Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds inside the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion.
The meet was highlighted by six top three finishes, including a program record in the women's weight throw by Alexis Hutchins and a first-place finish in the men's weight throw by Grant Milbrath, a new facility record at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion.
Hutchins and Milbrath were named the OVC Field Athletes of the Week for their performances at the Butler Invitational.
Women
Hutchins' 19.17m in the women's weight throw for second place was good for a new PR and SIUE program record. Allison Sanders also finished inside the top five of the event with a 15.06m mark. Hutchins also led the Cougars in the women's shot put with a 12.69m mark for fifth while Claire Bushur placed sixth at 12.56m.
Junior Folasade Oladipupo took fourth in the women's long jump with a 5.34m leap. In the high jump, Aseanti Boone (1.50m) and Zaria Searcy (1.50) tied for fifth. Mia Jackson finished inside the top three of the women's 60m hurdles at 9.10, good for third overall.
In the 400m, sophomore Kaylee Allen placed seventh while setting a PR at 59.75. Gabrielle Horton collected eighth in the women's 800m with a 2:27.92 mark. Freshman Mia Loafman led SIUE in the mile with a 5:28.06 time, good for 11th overall. In the 3,000m race, Kaitlyn Walker (14th/11:01.60), Alexis Fisher (15th/11:21.02), and Chessy Nikonowicz (16th/11:24.90) finished back-to-back-to-back.
Men
Milbrath's 18.10m mark in the men's weight throw earned the freshman first place and set the facility record at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion. Luke Hatten led the Cougars in the men's shot put, posting a 14.08m toss for fourth place. Milbrath finished fifth at 14.06m.
Caden Belcher earned a spot on the podium in the high jump, posting a 1.93m leap for second and a new career best mark. Drew Tucker finished fourth at 1.89m. Taylor Lehman finished fifth in the high jump at 8.62.
In the preliminary rounds of the men's 60m dash, Tyler Bell led SIUE with a 7.13 mark, good for fourth overall. Chase Burton collected fourth in the 200m dash at 22.44. Cullen Krieg placed 12th in the 800m at 2:02.49.
In the mile, D'Andre Watson set a new PR and finished sixth at 4:32.60. Roland Prenzler led SIUE in the 3,000m at 8:39.29.
