EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE won set one against Little Rock this afternoon 25-18. However, it wasn't enough, the Trojans claimed the next three sets 25-18, 25-20 and 28-26.
SIUE falls to 9-9 overall and 4-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference. Little Rock improves to 11-7 overall and 6-0 in OVC play.
SIUE out performed the Trojans offensively, leading in kills (59-55), assists (57-54) and digs (72-68). Little Rock's defensive presence at the net was strong, as the Trojans held a 14-9 advantage in blocks.
Kyndia Smith and
Sophie Robinson each had 15 kills. Robinson also contributed 12 digs, tallying another double-double on the season.
Paige Bernstein had three aces along with 31 assists.
Olivia Hogan also had a strong performance with 20 digs.
Crismeyli Rodriguez led the Trojans with 14 kills, while Bella Cherry, A'Lanae Margaritha and Vivian Lucumi each had 11 kills for the Trojans.
