EVANSVILLE, Ind. – SIUE volleyball fell to Southern Indiana in three sets (25-18,25-23,25-22). This marks the team's seventh three-set match of the season (3-4).
The Cougars are now 11-11 overall and 6-5 in Ohio Valley Conference play. The Screaming Eagles improved to 11-11 overall and 7-3 in OVC.
As a team SIUE had 35 kills, four aces, six blocks, 34 assists and 53 digs. USI had 43 kills, one aces, eight blocks, 41 assists and 60 digs with a hitting percentage of .184.
SIUE was led by
Sophie Robinson with nine kills, Vienna Elliot tallied four blocks,
Ally Hughes posted 16 assists, and
Olivia Hogan had 11 digs.
USI was led by Carley Wright with 13 kills and Aysa Thomas who had 39 assists.
The Cougars return to First Community Arean for an early week game against Lindenwood. First sere is set for 6 p.m.
