EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE rounded off their regular season with a three-set loss against SEMO Wednesday night.
The Cougars are 12-17 overall and 7-11 in the Ohio Valley Conference, while the Redhawks improved to 20-12 and 12-6 in OVC play.
SIUE claimed the No. 7 seed and will play in the first round of the OVC championship tournament against No. 2 Morehead State.
Kennedy Pike led the attack with 12 kills hitting at .320, she also contributed seven digs.
Sophie Robinson led the team with 13 digs an four service aces, while
Paige Bernstein posted 21 assists.
As a team the SIUE had 36 kills, three blocks, 31 assists, 55 digs and matched SEMO with five aces. SEMO led with 39 kills, nine blocks, 36 assists and 53 digs.
Up next, the Cougars travel to Charleston, Ill. to take on No. 2 MSU. First serve is set for 10:00 a.m. on Nov. 23.
