USAFA, Colo. – SIUE golf finished the first round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational completed Saturday at Air Force's Eisenhower Blue Course.
The Cougars shot a combined 308 and are 17th of 18 teams in the challenging field. Colorado and Utah are tied for the team lead at 280 (-8).
Individually, Tomas Rascon led the way at even par 72 and is tied for 29th. Trey Boecker is tied for 39th with a 73. Jake Guse and Parker Bruening both carded first-round scores of 80 and are tied among a group at 84th. Max Bruening finished the round tied for 89th with an 83.
The second round gets underway at 9 a.m. CT Sunday morning.
