Bishop Wields the Hammer

          TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Ben Bishop won the hammer throw Friday at the opening day of the Indiana State Invitational.
          Bishop bested five Indiana State throwers with a toss of 186 feet, 7 inches. It also was a personal best for the sophomore, who is now No. 2 on the all-time hammer list at SIUE.
          The SIUE men were in second place after two events of the two-day event at Indiana State. Indiana State led with 28 points followed by 16 from SIUE and nine from Eastern Illinois.
          SIUE's women were in third place after day one.
          Breanna Branson and Jennie Satterlee took third and fourth place respectively in the hammer throw. Branson's season best throw was 141-9.
          The Indiana State Invitational continues Saturday at Marks Field.
