BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – SIUE's Mia Jackson and Simon McClain were recognized as the men's and women's Ohio Valley Conference track athletes of the week.
 
Both athletes had strong performances at the Jim Freeman / Clark Wood Invitational.
 
Jackson finished 15^th in the women's 1100m hurdles with a time of 14.03. This time now ranks second in the OVC.
 
McClaine finished ninth in the men's 400m hurdles (54.35) and 10 in the men's 110m hurdles (14.65). He now ranks fourth in the OVC for the 400 hurdles and eighth in the 110 hurdles.
 
 
Both athletes will compete this weekend at the Gary Wieneke Memorial hosted by Illinois. This will be the last regular season competition before the OVC Outdoor Championships.
