CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – SIUE track and field set the pace at Illinois' Gary Wieneke Memorial. The Cougars wrap up their regular season before heading to the Ohio Valley Conference Championships
Trenton Brooks led the men's 100m placing second with a time of 10.66, ranking him fifth in the program's top five performances.
Tyler Bell also had a second-place finish in the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 14.13, ranking him second in the programs all-time performances. Bell now ranks third in the Ohio Valley Conference.
The women's 4x400m relay team also placed second at 47.72. The team was made up of
Jazmin West,
Mia Jackson,
Calie Field and
Kaylee Allen.
Darius Alberty also podiumed finishing third in the men's javelin at 50.54m (165-09).
Sprints & Hurdles
Jazmin West ran the women's 100m hurdles, placing seventh at 12.20, she was followed by
Calie Field in 11
th (12.28).
In the women's 100m hurdles,
Mia Jackson finished in ninth at 14.44 and
Olivia Hansen followed in 14th at 15.73.
Jackson also ran the women's 200m finishing in 16th (25.35) and was followed by
Jazmin West (18th/25.60).
Simon McClaine also ran the men's 110m hurdles, finishing in fifth at 14.94. McClaine also competed in the men's 400m hurdles, placing fifth (54.81). For the women's 400m hurdles
Megan Derrick placed 10th (1:05.47), she was followed by
Olivia Hansen (13th/1:07.59) and
Kennedy Williams (14th/1:08.81).
The men's 200m was led by
Konrad Sacha in sixth (21.72),
Trenton Brooks was right behind him in seventh (21.91). Sacha also competed in the men's 400m, finishing sixth (48.33).
Jaiden Parker ran the women's 400m placed 12th (58.51) with
Kaylee Allen right behind her in 13th (58.88).
Distance & Mid-Distance
In the men's 800m Nathaniel Wright finished in 15th (1:52.96), he was followed by
Logan Luttrell (17th/1:56.16),
Reece Wolf (22nd/1:59.43),
D'Andre Watson (24th/2:00.23) and Cullen Kreig (25th/2:00.35).
Kaylee Sprague was the only one to run the women's 800m (13th/2:27.40).
Erica Woodard ran the women's 1500m finishing in 10th (4:38.73) her time ranks fifth in the programs all-time performances. Following her was
Emilee Franklin (19th/4:53.00) and
Mia Loafman (21st/5:03.30).
Tanner Emerson ran the men's 3000m steeple placing fourth (9:38.07) and Alexis Kampwerth ran the women's 300m steeple placing fifth (13:19.23).
The men's 5000m was led by
Andrew Perry (7th/15:15.17) he was followed by Ian O'Laughlin (8th/15:18.20),
Aaron Conderman (9th/15:40.84) and
Jack Willenborg (10th/15:46.44).
In the women's 5000m
Kinze Shea finished in fourth (18:22.82) Right behind her was
Ella Sager in fifth (19:34.28) and
Arianna Neisen in sixth (21:06.08).
Throws & Jumps
Allison Sanders led the women's discus in sixth with a distance of 39.92m (130-11), following her was
Josie Hapack in seventh (37.85m/124-02) and
Alexis Feldhake in ninth (25.37m/116-00).
Sanders also competed in the women's hammer throw finishing seventh at 49.27m (161-07) and Hapack finished in 11th (43.40m/142-04).
Maryiah Menicucci led the women's shot put finish seventh at 13.21m (43-4.25), also competing was Hapack (11th/11.25m/36-11) and Feldhake (14th/9.30m/30-6.25).
In the men's high jump,
Drew Tucker finished sixth at 1.95m (6-4.75), in the women's high jump
Zaria Searcy finished in seventh at 1.65m (5-5).
Konnor Bouman also competed in the men's javelin finishing in fifth at 37.83m (124-01). The women's javelin was led by
Cassidy Short in seventh (32.09m/105-03) and
Kaylee Allen finished in eighth (30.86m/101-03).
Nyah Williams placed 15th in he women's long jump at 5.24m (17-2.25). Williams also competed in the women's triple jump finishing sixth at 11.67m (38-3.5).
