BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - In what turned out to be a dual meet, SIUE collected two school records on a windy afternoon meet with Western Kentucky.

The 400-meter relay of Andrew Thierry, Tony Bowman, Alphonso Shepherd and Chris Littleton recorded a winning time of 41.46 seconds. That broke the record of 41.50 set in 2005.

Aftan Noon broke the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville outdoor 1,500-meter record with a time of 4 minutes, 30.86 seconds. Noon won the race, which included a fourth-place finish by Kayla Brown (4:44.11). Heather Hackel and Rachel Roustio each ran personal bests in the event.

The meet was supposed to be the Hilltopper Relays but became a dual meet with several teams dropped out of what was a two-day meet.

SIUE recorded several personal bests at the meet and won numerous events.

The event winners included Ben Bishop who started the day with a win in the hammer throw with a toss of 201 feet, 9 inches. Bishop also won two other events -- the shot put with a throw of 53 feet, which places him third on the all-time SIUE list, and the discus with a throw of 154-9.

Eric Mammoser won the pole vault at 15-7. Kaleb Henry dominated the field in the javelin with a winning throw of 189-6. Mallory Dreyer matched his effort with a win in the women's javelin with a personal-best throw of 123-5. Marc Presley collected a victory at 800 meters in 1:58.58. Marcus Evans was victorious in the 400-meter hurdles in 52.94.
