EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The SIUE track and field teams kick off their indoor season with the annual Red vs. Black Intrasquad meet in Elsah, Illinois.

The teams are broken up and compete against each other throughout the day. Results are kept for the meet, which gives the athletes an official starting point for the season.

"The team is really excited about it," said Head Coach Eileen McAllister. "It's fun. It helps them to see where they are after fall training while competing. It gives us motivation going into the break to keep working."

The first official meet for the Cougars is the Missouri Invite in Columbia, Missouri, Jan. 16.
