EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE men's and women's track and field travels to Bowling Green, Kentucky, Friday and Saturday for the Hilltopper Relays hosted by Western Kentucky.

McAllister noted that several Cougars will be moving to their primary events this weekend, including Jessica Oranika and Darius Smith.

"Darius looks good," said McAllister. "He set personal bests in some of the longer events so we are excited to see him open up in the shorter sprints this weekend."

Freshman Brittany Thomas also looks to build on her weekend of success in which she broke the SIUE record in the 100 meters and was named the Ohio Valley Conference Female Track Athlete of the Week.

The meet begins Friday at 3 p.m. with the hammer throw and continues Saturday at 9 a.m.
