CHARLESTON, Ill. – Day one of the 2021 Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships is now complete. Competition continues at O'Brien Field Friday and Saturday.
Men's Day One Highlights
--Austin Lynch placed third in the hammer (198-9). His mark was the best of the season by nearly 15 feet. It also moves him up to fourth on the SIUE all-time outdoor list.
--Roland Prenzler moved up to fourth on the 10,000 all-time list with a fifth-place finish (30:55.75)
--Cole Knapp was the final qualifier in the 400 hurdles (56.64) after placing fourth in his heat. He will compete in the finals on day three.
--Brandon Bretz ran seventh overall in the 200 (21.98) and will compete in the finals on day three.
--John Barnes grabbed fourth place in the hammer (183-9).
