Saint Louis University vs. SIUE

St. Louis – SIUE women's basketball starts their second season in a row with an exhibition match against Saint Louis University. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Cougars added four freshmen, one sophomore and two graduate transfers.
Kiyoko Proctor,
Kaitlin Cassidy,
Lauren Miller and
Sy'Rae Stemmons make up the freshman class. Transfers include sophomore
Adriana Blazquez, and grad transfers
Syanne Mohamed and
Adebukola Akomolafe.
SIUE returns eight players from last year's roster. Including
Jaiden Bryant and
Macy Silvey who were named to the Ohio Valley conference player to watch list.
Silvey is playing her fourth season at SIUE after finishing third in three-point field goals in 2024-25. She averaged 2.3 per game. She appeared in all 29 games for the Cougars shooting 35 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range.
Bryant will be playing her second season with SIUE after transferring from Missouri State. Last season she started 26 games for the team, being the rebounding leader for eight games. She also was second on the team in rebounds averaging 4.1 per game.
EXHIBITION EXPERIMENT
The game against SIUE will feature experimental coach's challenges. Teams will be able to challenge any call made against them. As the season progresses, more rules and regulations will be introduced regarding what coaches are allowed to challenge.
