EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE track and field prepares for its fourth weekend at Missouri, this time competing in the Missouri Invitational Friday Feb. 6.
The Cougars will compete against 10 other schools including, Missouri, St. Louis University, Eastern Illinois, Southeast Missouri State, Murray State, Lindenwood, Western Illinois, Colorado School of Mines, University of Ozarks and Kansas City.
EVENTS SCHEDULE
Field events will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday Feb. 6. With the men's weight throw, the men's and women's high jump will follow at 10 a.m. Field events will conclude with the women's shot put at 2:30 p.m.
Running events will start at noon with the men's and women's 60m hurdles, followed by the 400m at 12:25 p.m. Running events will be rounded off with the 4x400m relays at 4 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cougars were at Missouri last weekend (Jan. 30-31) for the two-day Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational.
SIUE's
Mia Jackson had a new personal record, in the women's 60m hurdles where she finished fourth with a time of 8.86.
Erica Woodard also had a PR in the women's 3000m. She finished 16
th at 10:02.55. This time ranks third in the programs all-time top five indoor performances and third in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Drew Tucker tied for sixth place in the men's high jump with a height of 1.95m, this is also good for sixth in the OVC.
Caden Belcher followed him in eighth at 1.90m. For the women's high jump
Zaria Searcy placed eighth at 1.62m.
SIUE also competed in the PNC Lenny Lyle's Invitational.
Grant Milbrath finished 25
th overall for the men's shot put with at 14.96m.
Allison Sanders finished 33
rd in the women's weight throw at 15.75m, which is good for fourth in the OVC.
