FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –
Grant Milbrath finished the NCAA Indoor Championships in 11
th place also putting him on the All-American Second Team.
The last time an athlete was recognized as an All-American was during the 2017 indoor season, when Julian Harvey competed in the long jump and high jump.
"I am just so proud of the way he competed," Assistant Coach
Erin Wykoff said. "He came in ranked 15th and finished 11th, having the second furthest throw of his career in a loaded competition field."
In his first attempt he hit a mark of 20.12m (66-.25) and followed with a mark of 20.52m (67-4) in his second attempt. Milbrath finished the meet with a throw landing at 21.77m (71-5.25), his second best of the year.
Milbrath will continue to compete with SIUE track and field this spring for the 2026 outdoor season starting with the Ole Miss Classic March 20-21.
