EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - SIUE men's and women's track and field are set to compete at the Indiana State Gibson Invitational (April 16-18).  The meeting will take place at the Gibson track and field complex.
 
Thursday's events will start at 10:00 a.m. with the women's heptathlon and men's decathlon. Friday's events centime at 9:30 a.m. with the men's decathlon and the women's heptathlon. Field events will start at 12 p.m. with the women's hammer throw and running events will start at 6 p.m. with the 3000m steeplechase.
 
Saturday's events will start at 11:30 a.m. with the men's and women's long jump. Running events will start again at noon with the 100m hurdles. Running events will end with the men's and women's 4x400m at 5:30 p.m.
 
SIUE last competed in its Cougar Classic where they found seven first-place finishes, six second place finishes and one third place finish.
 
The first-place finishes included Tyler Pell in the men's 110m hurdles (14.39), Drew Tucker in the men's high jump (1.98 / 6-6.0), Zaria Searcy in the women's high jump (1.64m / 5-4.50), Tanner Emerson in the men's 3000m (8:35.17), and Erica Woodard in the women's 300m (10:09.02).
