EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE track and field continues its outdoor season at Southeast Missouri's Joey Haines Invitational April 3-4. The two-day meet is set to take place at SEMO's Abe Stuber Track and Field Complex.
Only one event will take place on Friday, the women's hammer throw will begin at 3:30 p.m. with the men following.
Day two will begin at 11 a.m. with shot put, field events will wrap up around 3:00 p.m. with the javelin. Running events will begin at noon with the 3000m steeplechase, followed by the 4x100m at 12:30p.m. Running events will conclude around 5:30 p.m. with the 4x400m. All running events will begin with the women and the men will follow.
Last Time Out
Drew Tucker led the Cougars with a first place finish in the men's high jump during the Ole Miss Classic at 2.05m. This performance ties for first in the Ohio Valley Conference with Little Rock's Falon Short and Deshawn Roberts.
SIUE also saw strong performances from
Zaria Searcy who placed second in the women's high jump (1.6m) and a second place finish from
Tanner Emerson in the men's 3000m (8:53.64).
Erica Woodard placed third in the 5000m (17:24.43) which also ranks third in the OVC.
