TERRE HAUTE, Ind. –
Nyah Williams led SIUE track and field at Indiana State's Gibson Invitational. Williams placed first in the women's triple jump at 11.81m (38-9).
Sprints & Hurdles
Konrad Sacha placed seventh in the men's 200m (21.75), Sacha also competed in the men's 400m placed fifth (47.92). Following him in the 400m was
Plamedi Nseka (39th/51.07) and
Caden Belcher (44th/52.49).
Konnor Bouman placed 53rd in the men's 100m (11.43). On the women's side
Jazmin West finished 11th in the 100m (12.20), following her was
Mia Jackson (35th/12.74) and
Darrelle Rice (45th/13.31).
West also led the women's 200m finishing in 28th at 25.99, behind her was
Kaylee Allen (30th/26.03) and
Jaiden Parker (35th/26.32).
The women's 400m was led by Allen, she finished 22nd (59.01) and was followed by
Calie Field (32nd/1:00.31) and Makayla White (37th/1:02.99)
Simon McClaine finished in 14th for the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 15.11. in the women's 100m hurdles
Mia Jackson placed 10th at 14:58., behind her was
Olivia Hansen in 22nd at 15:50.
Hansen also competed in the 400m hurdles placing 19th (1:06.97) and
Megan Derrick was right behind her in 20th (1:07.15).
Distance & Mid-Distance
Cullen Kreig placed 26th in the men's 800m (2:01.56), following him was
Reece Wolf (28th/2:01.89). In the women's 800m
Kaylee Sprague finished 17th (2:26.36) and
Kate Soderlind finished in 30th (2:42.67).
For the men's 1500m Nathaniel Wright placed 12th with a time of 4:01.28.
Tanner Emerson followed in 23rd at 4:05.68.
Erica Woodard placed seventh in the women's 1500m with a time of 4:43.57, following her was
Mia Loafman (30th/4:59.01) and
Kinze Shea (38th/5:11.78).
The men's 5000m was led by
Jack Willenborg in 23rd at 15:56.60, and
Aaron Conderman finished 27th at 16:14.69.
Ella Sager was the only one to finish the women's 5000m placing 39th at 20:23.76.
Jumps & Throws
Drew Tucker finished seventh in the men's high jump at 1.95m (6-4.75).
Zaria Searcy also placed seventh in the women's high jump with a height of 1.60m (5-3). She was followed by
Aseanti Boone (18th/1.50m/4-11) and
Harper Smith.
Payton Carter competed in the women's pole vault placing 15th at 3.24m (10-7.5).
Bouman also competed in the men's javelin finishing 18th with a distance of 36.62m (120-2).
Kaylee Allen placed 18th in the women's javelin at 29.96m (98-3).
Nyah Williams finished 22nd in the women's long jump at 4.94m (16-2.5).
Teagan Sullivan placed seventh in the women's long jump at 5.37m (17-7.5).
Allison Sanders placed ninth in the women's hammer at 49.75m (163-3) while
Maryiah Menicucci placed ninth in the women's shot put at 12.38m (42-1.25).
Josie Hapack placed 19h in the women's shot put at 11.71m (38-5), she also competed in the women's hammer throw placing 23rd at 44.53m (146-1).
Alexis Feldhake led the women's discus placing 20th at 34.84m (114-1), following her was
Allison Sanders in 23rd at 32.68m (107-3).
Relays
The women's 4x100 relay team was made up of Darrell Rice, Jaiden parker,
Mia Jackson and
Calie Field. They finished in seventh with a time of 48.82.
Next the Cougars will compete at the Jim Freeman / Clark Wood Invitational (April 24-25).
