PADUCAH, Ky. – SIUE golf is fifth after the first day of play at Murray State's Racer Intercollegiate.
The Cougars have a 579 (286-293) and are three-over for the tournament. Chattanooga is 19-under to lead the field. Muray State (-4) is second and Dayton (-3) is third.
Brady Kaufmann and Brent Reintjes lead the way individually for the Cougars. Both are one-under for the tournament and are tied for 13th.
Will Simpson is one-over and is tied for 22th. Preston Bily is four-over and tied for 47th.
Tomas Rascon, SIUE's individual, is tied for 51st at five-over. Max Bruening is 15-over and is tied for 84th.
Chattanooga's Ethan Whitaker is six-under and sits atop the leaderboard. He leads teammate Evan Rogers by a stroke.
The final round gets underway Tuesday morning at the Country Club of Paducah.
