EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The SIUE men's tennis team couldn't slow down Ohio Valley Conference foe Austin Peay, who won its ninth straight match Friday night at the Edwardsville YMCA.

The Govs took the match by a 7-0 scoreline.  In singles, freshman Nico Kuehn won his first set but couldn't overcome a rally by APSU's John Storie who would eventually win 2-6, 6-4, 10-2.

The loss drops SIUE to 5-4 overall and 0-1 in OVC play.

The Cougars will return to the court Sunday with a match against Murray State at 5:30 p.m. at the Edwardsville YMCA.
