PITTSBURG, Kan. – SIUE track and field wrapped up day two of the 11
th Annual Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic.
Nyah Williams had a fourth-place finish in the women's triple jump at 11.80m (38-8.5).
Josie Hapack was the lone competitor in the women's shot put, placing 29th overall at 11.23m (36-10.25). On the men's side
Tanner Gimm placed 35th at 12.71m (41-8.50).
In the women's high jump,
Zaria Searcy tied for 11th (1.63m/5-4.25) with Oral Roberts Destiny Downing.
Payton Carted competed in the women's pole vault placing 13th overall at 3.34m (11-3).
In the men's 3000-meter
Tanner Emerson finished in 14th crossing the finish line with a time of 8:41.10. The women's 3000-meter was led by
Erica Woodard in seventh at 10:09.24. She was followed by
Emilee Franklin in 43rd at 11:16.49.
D'Andre Watson ran a 4:26.84 mile that placed 39th.
Lexy Henrikson ran the women's mile placing 12th (5:07.38), while
Mia Loafman came in 33rd (5:24.25).
The women's 400-meter was led by
Jaiden Parker in 38th at 59.25.
Kaylee Allen also competed placing 41st (59.49).
Konrad Sacha was disqualified from the men's 400-meter after taking three steps on the lie.
Nathinel Wright ran the men's 800-meter placing 28th (1:55.32), following him was
Logan Luttrell in 39th (1:57.00).
SIUE had one 4x400m team of
Jaiden Parker,
Megan Derrick,
Kennedy Williams and
Calie Field. They placed 20th overall with a time of 4:04.14.
SIUE Track and field will gear up for the OVC Indoor Championship next Feb. 24-25.
