BANDON, Ore. – SIUE golf made the biggest move of the day, jumping eight spots to third at the Bandon Dunes Championship. The Cougars tied the ninth lowest round in school history with a 276 (-8) in Monday's second round.
The Cougars are now five-under for the tournament and trail Oregon State (-24) and Oregon (-14) in the standings.
Individually, Will Simpson leads the Cougars. He is two-under and tied for 14th after shooting a 69 in the second round. Brady Kaufmann is tied for 18th and one-under. He was even on Monday. Preston Bily shot a career-low 66 Monday and moved into a tie for 21st at even par.
Brent Reintjes, who is playing as an individual, was one-over for the day and is two-over for the tournament. He is tied for 37th.
Tomas Rascon is four-over and tied for 49th. Max Bruening sits tied for 68th. He is seven-over.
Oregon State's Nguyen Anh Minh (-11) remains atop the individual leaderboard.
The final round gets underway at 9:45 a.m. CT Tuesday at the Pacific Dunes Course.
