EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE women's soccer Head Coach Derek Burton announced his 2026 schedule Thursday with the Cougars playing host to eight home contests at Korte Stadium.
Entering his 19th season as the Cougars' head coach, Burton and the Cougars kick off the 2026 campaign with an Aug. 5 exhibition contest at UIC followed by the season opener at Alabama A&M on Aug. 12.
The home opener is set for Aug. 16 against Valparaiso and is the first of three straight home contests. The Cougars also face off in that stretch against Austin Peay (Aug. 20) and IU Indy (Aug. 23).
The nonconference season also features home games against Indiana State (Sept. 6) and Balckburn (Sept. 20). The road games in the nonconference portion of the schedule includes contests at Drake (Aug. 30), SIU Carbondale (Sept. 10) and Missouri State (Sept. 17).
The Ohio Valley Conference schedule opens Sept. 27 when Eastern Illinois comes to Korte Stadium. SIUE has home OVC contests against UT Martin (Oct. 10) and Southern Indiana (Oct. 18).
The road OVC schedule features Morehead State (Oct. 4), Western Illinois (Oct. 15), Lindenwood (Oct. 25) and Southeast Missouri (Nov. 1).
The 2026 OVC Championships features all eight conference schools beginning Nov. 5 and culminating with the championship game at the site of the No. 1 seed on Nov. 15.
