EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Five SIUE women's soccer players have been honored Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators (CSC) for their work on the field and in the classroom.
Taylor Babb, Sarah Bozeman, Savannah DeFini, Allie Fishering, and Aleah Minehart have been named to the 2025 CSC Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams. The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The criteria for earning this award included playing 90 percent of team's contests or 66 percent of games started as well as earning a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average.
SIUE's honorees majors and GPAs are: Babb (Nursing/3.817), Bozeman (History Secondary Education/3.75), Fishering (Biological Sciences Medical Science/3.611), DeFini (4.00 in MBA program/3.815 with a degree in Business Administration Management), and Minehart (Nursing/3.656).
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
