EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. - Kristine Armstrong and Amy Million each netted two goals as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's soccer team defeated Missouri-Rolla 4-0 on Sunday.
         The Cougars won their regular season finale to improve to 15-4 overall and 11-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Miners fall to 4-12-2 overall and 1-10-2 in the league.
         SIUE improved to the 15-win mark for the third time in school history. The Cougars notched 16 wins in 1996 and 15 victories in 1997,
         With the win the Cougars earn the No. 2 seed in the GLVC tournament and will host No. 7 seed Indianapolis next Sunday.
         Armstrong scored her 11th goal of the season in the 27th minute. Million gave the Cougars a 3-0 lead with goals in both halves. Armstrong netted her second goal of the game at 69:15 to seal the win for SIUE.
         SIUE held the edge in shots at 14-1. Kaci Backs picked up the victory in goal for SIUE, making one save.
         SIUE's next action is Sunday against the Greyhounds in the quarterfinals of the GLVC tournament.
