EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Cougars extended their winning streak to seven games Friday with a win over Ferris State 2-1.
         The Cougars improved their record to 11-4-2 overall during their senior night festivities.
         En route to the victory the Cougars dominated the shot count 31-4 over the Bulldogs.
         Senior forward Kristine Armstrong buried SIUE's first goal with an assist from Kelly Limpert with 5:35 into play. The goal was Armstrong's first goal of the season for the Cougars.
         Kayla Fromme, also a senior, scored SIUE's next goal 13:24 into the second half with an assist from senior Padra Bencini.
         The Bulldogs scored their only goal off the foot of Kristie Smilanich with an assist from Heather O'Keefe with 11:25 to play in the game.
         The Cougars' next game is their final regular season contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday at Korte Stadium against No. 8-ranked Grand Valley State.
