Elizabeth Valenti scored 2:01 into the match Tuesday as Southern Illinois University Edwardsville rolled to a 3-0 victory over the Lewis Flyers in women's college soccer action.
         SIUE, now 5-4-2 overall and 3-3-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, pounded Lewis for 27 shots and allowed just seven. SIUE's only save was a team save. Neither Kim Roady nor Kaci Backs recorded a goalkeeper save for the Cougars.
         Valenti scored early on an assist from Jenny Kates. Freshman Corren Roark picked up her second goal of the season on an assist from Kayla Fromme at 10:58. Jessica Bretana, also a freshman, collected her first career goal at 47:33 with a double assist credited to Kates and Elizabeth Ball.
         SIUE returns to action Friday at Southern Indiana. Game time is 7:30 p.m. in Evansville, Ind.
