CHARLESTON, Ill. – Day one of the 2021 Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships is now complete. Competition continues at O'Brien Field Friday and Saturday.
Women's Day One Highlights
--Keri Burmester ran a career best 38:28.23 in the 10,000 and finished fifth in the event.
--Freshman Savannah Sullivan scored for the Cougars with eighth place in the long jump (17-9.5).
--Aly Goff was an automatic qualifier in the 1500 with a fourth-place finish in her heat (4:44.25). She'll run the finals of the event on day three.
--Catherine Jakich matched her longest throw of the season in the hammer (159-9).
--Hayley Goebel set a season PR in the hammer (140-11).
