LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Four SIUE Track and Field athletes competed in final events on the first day of the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship was completed Thursday at Coleman Sports Complex.
Field Events
Graduate Allison Sanders took fourth in the hammer throw with a toss of 48.98 meters. Senior Maryiah Menicucci finished a close fifth at 48.28 meters.
Sophomore Payton Carter finished sixth in the pole vault clearing 3.55 meters.
Distance
Freshman Jack Willenborg finished 13th in the men's 10,000-meter race. He finished 34:39.49.
Friday features Cougars in the finals of the women's discus, men's and women's high jump, women's long jump and the men's and women's steeple chase.
