BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – SIUE women's soccer standouts Sarah Bozeman and Claire Nieroda earned All-Newcomer awards Wednesday from the Ohio Valley Conference.

Bozeman, a junior goalkeeper from O'Fallon, Missouri, was among OVC leaders in saves with 89 and posted a 2.10 goals against average in 17 contests. During OVC play, she posted four shutouts and grabbed 40 saves.

Nieroda, a freshman midfielder from O'Fallon, Illinois, led the Cougars in shots on goal with 18 and tied for the team lead in overall shots with 35. She scored against both Western Illinois and Southeast Missouri during OVC play.

SIUE next heads to the postseason as the No. 7 seed facing sixth-seeded UT Martin in a 3 p.m. contest Thursday. That game is to be played at Lindenwood, which awaits the SIUE-UT Martin winner for a Sunday contest.
