SIUE track and field wrap up day one of the Lenny Lyles and the Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational. Each meet saw standout performances with some athletes finishing at the top of their events and others qualified for the finals taking place Saturday.
 
Grant Milbrath wrapped up day one of the Lenny Lyles Indoor meet with a fourth-place finish in the men's weight throw at 20.35m. For the women's weight throw Allison Sanders placed 33^rd overall with a distance of 15.76m.
 
At the Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational Mia Jackson placed third in the preliminary round of the women's 60m hurdles qualifying for the finals with a time of 8.90.

Olivia Hansen also competed in the preliminary women's 60m hurdles placing 10^th at 9.38 and was followed by Olivia Smith in 12^th at 10.02.
 
Tyler Bell finished in 12^th for the men's 60m with a time of 7.07. He was followed by Trenton Brooks (14^th/7.14), Zach Lane (15^th/7.25) and Konnor Bouman (16^th/7.46).
 
For the women's 60m Lena Jackson tied for ninth place with a time of 7.83, Jazmin West placed 14^th at 7.89 and was followed by Calie Field (16^th/7.94), Mia Jackson (20^th/8.09), Olivia Hansen (22^nd/8.25) and Darrelle Rice (23^rd/8.26).
 
Competing in the men's 200m Norman Mukwada placed eighth with a time of 21.98, he was followed by Konrad Sacha in 16^th with a time of 22.54 and Zach Lane in 17^th at 22.66.
 
In the women's 200m Mia Jackson finished seventh overall with a time of 25.31 she was followed by Lena Jackson (10^th/25.67), Jazmin West (17^th/26.17), Kaylee Allen (17^th/26.37), Jaiden Parker (19^th/26.39), Olivia Smith (20^th/26.93) and Darrelle Rice (21^st/28.12).
 
Bell also competed in the men's 60m hurdles, placed 10^th with a time of 8.41. Also competing in the men's 60m hurdles was Simon McClaine (13^th/8.83) and Darius Alberty (14^th/8.91).
 
Jack Willenborg was the only one to run the men's 5000m for the Cougars placing fifth with a time of 16:03.24. Kinze Shea ran the women's 5000m placing sixth with a time of 18:20.62. Ella Sager also ran finishing in ninth (19:59.78) and was followed by Arianna Neisen in 10^th (20:17.49).
 
For the women's weight throw Josie Hapack finished in 15^th with a distance of 14.75m, Abigail Irvin placed 17^th at 11.11m, Allison Taylor placed 18^th at 10.83m and Alexis Feldhake finished 19^th at 10.83m.
 
Teagan Sullivan led SIUE in the women's long jump finishing sixth with a distance of 5.57m. Olivia Smith also competed, placing 10^th at 5.01m and Cassidy Short placed 11^th at 3.52m.
 
SIUE track and field will continue with day two of the Lenny Lyles and Dr. Rick McGuire Invitationals Saturday, Jan. 31.
