OXFORD, Mis. –
Drew Tucker led the Cougars with a first-place finish in the men's high jump with a personal best of 2.05m (6-8.75) in day two of the Ole Miss Classic.
Three other Cougars also finished within the top three of their respective events during the second day of the meeting.
SIUE saw two second place finished with
Zaria Searcy in the women's high jump (1.6m/5-5) and
Tanner Emerson in the men's 3000m with a time of 8:53.64.
Erica Woodard claimed a third-place finish in the women's 3000m crossing the finish line at 10:24.60.
Day 1 Results
For the women's pole value
Payton Carter tied for eighth place at 3.25m (10-08). This ranks second in the programs all-time outdoor performances.
Jazmin West led the women's team in the 200m placing 19th with a time of 25.42. following her was
Calie Field (23rd/25.56),
Kaylee Allen (31st/26.12),
Jaiden Parker (32nd/26.25), Makayla White (33rd/26.39),
Olivia Smith (35th/26.49) and
Olivia Hansen (40th/27.76).
For the men's 200m
Trenton Brooks placed 11th overall, crossing the finish line at 21.82. Following him was
Norman Mukwada (18th/22.16),
Konrad Sacha (20th/22.18) and
Simon McClaine (38th/23.38)
The women's long jump was led by
Teagan Sullivan who placed sixth with a distance of 5.69m (18-8), following her was
Nyah Williams in 21st at 5.03m (16-8.5) and
Olivia Smith in 25th at 4.84m (15-10.5).
Maryiah Menicucci placed 10th overall in the women's hammer throw with a distance of 47.51m (155-10),
Allison Sanders followed in 13thwith throwing 43.62m (143-01),
Abigail Irvin placed 16th at 35.62m (116-10) and
Alexis Feldhake finished in 18th at 28.62m (93-11).
On the men's side of the hammer throw Tanner Gim placed 18th at 35.93m (117-10).
Two athletes competed in the men's and women's javelin for SIUE. For the women Kalee Allen placed sixth at 31.52m (103-05) and
Cassidy Short followed in seventh at 30.33m (99-06). For the men
Darius Alberty placed seventh at 55.27m (181-04), and
Konnor Bouman placed 18th at 32.07m (105-02)
Day 2 Results
For the women's 1500m
Kaylee Sprague placed 17th at 5:00.88. She was followed by
Mia Loafman (19th/5:03.01),
Emilee Franklin (20th/5:04.13) and
Ana Keller (23rd/5:12.50). Nathaniel Wright ran the men's 1500m placing 26th at 4:10.84, he was followed by
Cullen Krieg in 33rd at 4:20.62.
Olivia Smith was the only one to run the women's 100m hurdles, placing ninth at 17.32.
Simon McClaine was the only Cougar to run the men's 110m hurdles placing 10th at 15:51.
For the women's 400m
Jaiden Parker placed ninth at 58:84 she was followed by
Kaylee Allen (10th/59.11),
Calie Field (11th/59.51),
Megan Derrick (15th/1:00.43) and Makayla White (17th/1:00.78). For the men's 400m
Konrad Sacha finished in sixth at 49.05, following him was
Norman Mukwada (11th/49.32),
Plamedi Nseka (13th/49.76) and
Caden Belcher (19th/51.97).
For the women's 100m
Jazmin West placed 11th overall with a time of 12.28. Also competing was
Darrelle Rice (16th/12.74) and
Kennedy Williams (17th/13.11). On the men's side
Trenton Brooks finished in seventh at 10:51, also competing as
Konnor Bouman placed 21st at 11.25.
Sprague also ran the women's 800m placed 18th with a time of 2:28.77, following her was
Kate Soderlind in 24th at 2:45.71. For the men's 800m Nathaniel Wright finished in 21st at 1:58.23, and
Cullen Krieg finished at 31st at 2:05.99.
Megan Derrick led the pack in the women's 400m hurdles placing fourth at 1:07.60,
Olivia Hansens followed in fifth at 1:08.23. Also competing was
Kennedy Williams (8th/1:09.49) and
Olivia Smith (10th/1:10.22).
Simon McClaine competed in the men's 400m hurdles, placing fifth at 57.25.
Ella Sager also competed in the women's 3000m, placed 15th at 12:01.71. For the men's 3000m Ian O'Laughlin placed 10th (9:13.19) and was followed by
Jack Willenborg (13th/9:25.00) and
Aaron Conderman (15th/9:38.44).
In the women's discus
Josie Hapack placed 11th at 38.36m (125-10), following her was
Allison Sanders (12th/37.84/124-01),
Alexis Feldhake (16th/34.93m/114-07) and
Abigail Irvin (22nd/30.02m/98-06).
Maryiah Menicucci placed fifth in the women's discus at 12.69m (41-7.75). Hapack and Feldhake also competed in the women's discus placing seventh (12.40m) and 16th (9.96m).
Tanner Gimm competed in the men's shot put, placing 16th overall with a distance of 12.55m (41-2.25). Gimm also competed in the men's discus placing 12th at 37.87m (124-03).
Caden Belcher also competed in the men's high jump, placing sixth at 1.85m (6-.75). For the women's triple jump
Nyah Williams placed fifth jumping 11.95m (39-2.50)
